The consultation covers examination of the skin or scalp, a review of your medical history, medications and labs, and establishing whether the problem is local or has an internal cause that needs investigating. The plan is written on that basis, not as a generic prescription.
A staged plan, not a single treatment
Acne is not one type and not one cause. The programme begins by identifying the type and grade, checking for hormonal or dietary causes where present, then a staged topical or systemic treatment plan with follow-up, and finally a phase for treating the scarring.
Starts with a blood test, not a product
Hair loss is a symptom, not a diagnosis. The first step here is blood work: iron and ferritin, vitamin D, thyroid function, and hormones where the case calls for it. Treating hair loss without knowing the cause wastes time and money. If the cause is nutritional, the case moves to the nutrition department to be treated at its root.

Because among the commonest causes of hair loss are iron and ferritin deficiency, vitamin D deficiency and thyroid dysfunction, none of which is solved by a topical product. Once we know the cause, treatment is more targeted and more durable.
In many cases there is a link. Insulin resistance and PCOS can show on the skin as hormonal acne and excess hair.
