Liver, Gastroenterology & Endoscopy

Consultation and ultrasound in the same visit

Reflux, bloating or IBS symptoms coming back despite treatment? Sometimes the cause is not what is being treated. The consultation includes an ultrasound in the same visit, performed personally by the internal medicine specialist. That means the person reading the scan is also the one who examined you and heard your history, rather than relying on a report that arrives two days later.

Gut and liver consultation with ultrasound

Examination and ultrasound with the same doctor, in one visit

The consultation includes a full history and a detailed discussion of your complaint, a thorough clinical examination, a review of any labs and imaging you bring with you, and an abdominal ultrasound within the same appointment: liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen and kidneys, as the case requires and the doctor judges. You leave with a diagnosis, a clear treatment plan, any further investigations specified, and an assessment of whether the case needs endoscopy or referral to another specialty.

The ultrasound is inside the consultation, not a second visit The doctor performs and reads the scan himself, with you in the room A diagnosis and a clear plan from the same visit

Abdominal ultrasound on its own

A scan at your own doctor's request, without a consultation

If your own doctor has asked for an abdominal scan and you do not need a consultation, we perform it as a separate service. The scan covers the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen and kidneys as requested. Preparation: fast for six to eight hours beforehand, water is fine, and avoid fizzy drinks and bloating foods the day before so the images are clear. If the scan shows anything that needs follow-up, we explain it clearly, and treatment decisions stay with your own doctor.

Booked without a consultation, at your doctor's request Fast six to eight hours; water is fine Treatment decisions stay with your own doctor For a full assessment of your symptoms, the internal-medicine consultation includes the scan in the same visit

Endoscopy assessment

Deciding whether your case genuinely needs an endoscopy

An endoscopy is not the first step in every case. The consultation weighs the symptoms, the history, the labs and the ultrasound first, and only then is it clear whether an endoscopy would add something that changes the treatment. When a case genuinely needs one it is performed in an equipped centre, and the doctor agrees the next step, the preparation and the follow-up with you.

The assessment happens at the consultation, not in advance Endoscopies are performed in an equipped centre Follow-up after the procedure comes back to the clinic
